mini arctail quads

Inspired by the performance of the shorter/wider/thicker "mini-board," I combined the classic proportions of the Greenough Spoon template with the proven single concave to spiral vee bottom contour and the AK4 quad set-up.

These shorter boards with fuller outlines are incredibly fast and maneuverable, and can drive through very hard turns without spinning out or any loss of speed.

The curve from the wide point to the tail is very close to the outline curve of a fish, which makes the transition from similar designs very easy. The rail line breaks before the centerline which make the wide tail very loose and lively.

As with my other designs, the AK4 fin template works incredibly well with the Arctail bottom contour of single to spiral vee---this board loves to carve.

The foil features a scooped nose for low swing weight and rolled hull entry to keep the board planing up onto the concaves. The majority of the volume is centered over the back two-thirds of the board which provides functional volume for paddling and foam under your feet when you're up and flying down the line.

If you're around 5'10" and 175-190lbs, go with a 5'4" x 20.5" x 2.5".

I'm 5'5" and 150lbs, and my 5'1" x 20" x 2.5" paddles better than a 6'0" standard tri-fin...
