This template draws its genetic heritage from the gene pool of my longer hulls while adding new DNA from the Stubbie family. The drawn out template naturally holds a long clean line, with the single to spiral-vee concave letting you drive hard off the rail in bigger surf. Consider this board to be the big brother to the Stubbie, a step-up for when your favorite wave finally gets a decent swell, giving you the extra muscle to scratch into the big ones.

The fuller nose area preserves functional surface area for fast paddling, while keeping the template short and sweet. Truncating the nose reduces swing weight, keeping the board lively and responsive. The wide-point forward teardrop entry coupled with a pulled-in pintail keeps water following the path of least resistance. This incredibly functional platform can be set up as a single fin, 2+1, tri-fin, quad, or even the 5-box.
